Spooky Ghost Brownie Bites

We’ve got a fantastically spooky recipe for you from Harriet who blogs at Life With Mrs Lee, she’s sharing with us how to make some spooky ghost brownie bites, such a fun little seasonal activity, that also tastes yummy too!

I love baking for different occasions throughout the year and I’d been thinking a lot about what I could make for Halloween and I eventually came up with these mini Spooky Ghost Brownie Bites and I just knew they would be the perfect chocolatey treat! They are super easy to make with little ones and would be a fantastic addition to your Halloween party table. If you don’t have time to make the brownies yourself then you could always use some shop bought brownie bites and then just add the ghosts yourself and they will still look super impressive!

  • • 75g white chocolate

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 170 degrees / gas mark 3 and line a 33cm x 23cm baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Put the chocolate and butter into a heatproof glass bowl over a pan of simmering water and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from the heat and add in the sugar and stir until well combined.
  4. Stir in the flour and mix well.
  5. Add in the eggs one at a time and stir until thick and smooth.
  6. Pour your brownie batter into your prepared tin and bake in your preheated oven for around 45-55 minutes. Your brownie should be flaky on the top but still soft in the centre.
  7. Leave the brownie to cool completely in the tin before removing and cutting into bite size chunks.
  8. Stick a marshmallow on top of each chunk using some white chocolate as 'glue' then using a teaspoon drizzle some white chocolate over the top of the marshmallow to make your ghost.
  9. Pop your ghost brownies into the fridge so that the chocolate can set.
  10. Once set remove from the fridge and use your black writing icing to drawn on your ghost's faces!
  11. Enjoy!
