Hi, it’s Jess here with a fun summer tropical craft for you, neon pineapple sun catchers.
I wasn’t really sure what to call these as you could use them for anything, initially I thought sun catchers for the window but I didn’t have any blu tak to stick them on there so I put them on my fireplace instead but you could turn them into bunting or I think I will use them as wall hangings.
Neon Pineapple Sun Catchers
You will need:
- Large cardboard lids or if you don’t have any lying around then paper plates will work
- Tissue Paper
- Glue Gun
- Craft Knife
- Cutting Board
Step one: First you need to cut a pineapple shape out of the cardboard lid / paper plate using the craft knife. I cut a template out of card first to draw around so I knew where to cut.
Step two: Then you need to glue and stick glitter on the lid / plate and leave it to dry.
Step three: Once dried you need to turn it over and use the glue gun to stick yarn across the back.
Step four: Then you can either leave it or glue some tissue paper on the back, this works well if you are using them for sun catchers.
We love these, a big thanks to Jess for making them for us!
